We couldn't have asked for better weather for the start of our woodland sessions for this term. It was a beautiful Winter's day with the frost glistening in the sunlight. The first group to enjoy the sight were our Nursery 2 children and they explored the woods finding the woodland animals that they met last term. They found them hiding in the 'boundary' trees and once they were found we marked the boundaries by placing an animal 'flag' next to the tree. They also tried some 'mark making' in any frost that they could find. In the afternoon we took some very excited Reception children to the Woodland School, they were clearly looking forward to going to the woods! There were still lots of the woodland animals to find and some frost left to try and write the first letter of their names in. However, the boys decided that they wanted to build a den for Freddie the Fox, so they all helped to do this as well.
